At a recent meeting the dismass tien of Rittman set October 8 9 and 10 for the second annual Fall Festival. The event will include Bert Marshall's Minstrel Maids Anna DeKoven and Farmyard Pets and Fred Welle the Flying Clown plus carnival booths and concessions. The Legion Boys are expected to operate and help ensure another successful festival.
On Tuesday Wooster residents learned values on stiltman property were fixed by appraisers John Wein and Wm Shackleford under county reappraisal. Local citizens praise the fairness of the process and note Rittman’s tax rate will be lower this year with no increase in town funding.
The Rittman band will perform at Sterling next Wednesday evening September 9. A band is an asset to any community and the city should support the group and nearby towns.
Land owners in Milton township near Rittman received notices of new assessed values for their lands. Some values appeared much higher than expected, prompting concern over the fairness of the reassessment.

County Superintendent Gibbone received state notice that a special teachers' examination will be held on Saturday September 26 at Wooster High School to aid teachers unable to take the regular August 26 exam in Wayne County.
