Sudden Death of Harvey Steiner
Harvey Steiner died by his own hand Thursday morning at his home south of Sterling I health and worry led to the act. Funeral services set for next Saturday at 1 PM at the home and 2 PM at Crown Hill Church with interment in Crown Hill cemetery. A large circle of friends and relatives mourn the loss.

David Hilty Dies at 71 in Salt Street Home
David Hilty, 71, a well known local citizen, died at his Salt Street home on Saturday from pneumonia. The Hilty family moved to Rittman years ago from near Orrville. Surviving are Mrs Pauli Howard, Mrs Fred Gasser, Mrs John Paternoster, and Christ Hilty. Funeral services were held Tuesday from the German Episcopal church.

Donation Week at Wadsworth Hospital Seeks Winter Staples
The week of November 2 to 7 is Donation Week for Wadsworth Municipal Hospital. Residents of Rittman are urged to donate fruits vegetables canned goods and other staples to support the hospital through the winter. Mrs. Fred Snyder the wife of Dr. Snyder suffered a fall on stairs at the primary school while accompanying her daughter for tests and is resting with back pain.
