Terrible Accident At Steiner Farm Meeting Kills Worker

A gas well accident on the T J Steiner farm in Warne County killed Arthur Carpenter, a Doylestown worker, and seriously burned Steiner and a helper. The incident followed a Farm Bureau meeting series across townships, with Wooster set for a county organization meeting on Saturday at 1:00 PM.

Last Tuesday Gaylord Powers 13, son of Myrtle Powers, was taken to Wooster for a hearing before Judge Janes 44 Probate. Mayor Shackleford Supt. Mason and Truant Officer Lambert attended. The judge committed him to the Children's Home as a dependent. Mrs Powers had another boy and a girl in this institution.

Voters to Decide Redistricting in Ohio Senate Map

On November eighth Wayne and Holmes counties voters weigh a proposed redistricting plan. The change would join Wayne with Medina and Lorain counties shifting the area from a Democratic to a Republican district. This marks the first statewide redistricting vote since 1851.
