Machine Struck by B and O Switcher Near Ohio Salt Co
On Tuesday noon a Ford road machine owned by Howard Qualman was struck by a B and O switcher near the Ohio Salt Co plant. The accident happened at Industrial Street crossing as the machine sped toward the street where the Ohio Salt Co offices stand. The switcher pushed cars on the siding from the main track, and the Ohio Salt Co building obscured the view of an approaching train.

B&O Locomotive Explodes Killing Engineer
Last Sunday on the Cleveland Massillon line an explosion destroyed a B and O locomotive near Starling. Engineer Jacob Courtwright died from burns and Fireman 3 C Kelley, Massillon, survived with serious injuries. The crew included unknown others and officials sealed the engine for investigation. Courtwright died about four hours after the crash at Wooster Hospital. Fireman remained in Musallin hospital with severe burns and expectations of recovery.

Train crossing accident missing whistle and obstruction noted
