Bank Opening in January at Rittman Savings Bank

Hoover cashier at the Rittman Savings Bank said officials expect to open their new building for business sometime in January. Delays in vault equipment shipment from Canton push the opening back from December. The contractor will finish the building in about two weeks except for the vault and burglar alarm system. Sam Escoultz has leased the adjacent room for a three year term and will move in after it becomes available.

Mrs Noble files for divorce and alimony in common pleas court, naming Kart E Hoover as attorney. She alleges extreme cruelty by J N Noble of West Virginia, who was previously ordered to pay damages for assaulting his wife in a justice court.

Akron men arrested after shooting at McClure home

Two Akron lookup winners Edgar Daves and Fred Mitchell were arrested at Paul McClure's west of Wooster after being wounded by shotgun fire at the McClure home. Aloy reportedly injured in a hunting accident. Earlier, five men robbed an Akron firing station and fired at tires. three were arrested soon after.

Jail vacancy as Wayne County holds first empty cells in weeks

Wayne County jail was empty Saturday after Deputy Sheriff Wayne Garver moved Mike Costello to the Columbus penitentiary. Costello had pleaded guilty to driving an auto without the owner's consent and was sentenced by Judge Critchford on Thursday. He was the last of a trio of prisoners who had filled the jail for several weeks. the other two were sent to the Mansfield reformatory Thursday.

Final Wooster hearing on September 14 before county commissioners debated opening a new street on the north side of Erle R R to connect Sterlingave and Mainst. Officials said a decision would be delayed to clarify their authority. No further word has come from Rittman after more than two months.
