A seven local joint council of PCA contracts was created with Rittmanite Bob Meade as chairman. The council, linked to the IBPMPMWA AFL CIO, aims to secure members fair economic basics and operates from Cincinnati with O Harold Oros as secretary treasurer. It has a constitution and by laws to recruit other PCA union affiliates.
In a Man on the Street survey at Rittman square 14 residents weighed reasons for casting negative or for votes on the school bond issue. One opposed, eleven supported, two declined comment. Congressman Robert Secrest's office says five city streets Bradley West Sunset to Metz ger Warren South Metzger and Rittman Road to Pinewood will get U S Mail delivery to houses after residents install a mailbox or slot and notify Postmaster Mougey. This is the first foot-route extension since May 1963.
Robert West named to represent Rittman on the Wayne County Joint Vocational School board for 1967. He will serve as president of the vocational board, with a January start. The board plans construction timetables with Architect John L Kline and seeks a $19 million bond approval for a new school site.
