Memorial services Sunday May 29 at 11 00 am at the high school auditorium. Graves of departed war veterans will be decorated in the morning at Shinersburg Knapps Sterling Mt Zion Crown Hill Cathole and Hoovers. Parade forms 10 30 at Ligier's Hotel and proceeds north on Main to the high school led by the American Legion Drum and Bugle Corps with Rittman Band’s first public appearance. Early Sunday a break in at Steiner and Maibach General Store Sterling Ohio yielded about 1500 dollars in merchandise including jewelry clothing and suitcases. Reuben Hartzler who slept in the store awakened the intruder and scared him off fleeing through the rear door into a Ford a gunshot fired by Hartzler preceded the escape. Sheriff Jacot and deputies responded but no definite clue was available at press time.
