Accident Victims Reported Improved in Three-Car Crash
Three people remain in Wadsworth Municipal Hospital after the Bloody 94 crash two weeks ago. Watershed Hearing Set On Friday For Chippewa Plan
A public hearing on the Chippewa Watershed Subdistrict official plan is scheduled for 11 am this Friday May 26 at Rittman City Hall. Objections to the flood control plan must be raised then or risk delays as officials seek final Conservancy Court approval in New Philadelphia. The project includes eight dams four with permanent pools and four dry except during floods at a total cost about 2 270 000 with 1 700 000 from the US Department of Agriculture and the rest locally.

A birthday dinner meeting for Daughters of America members with April May and June birthdays is set for June 8 at Rose Villa. Members will gather at 6 pm in the lodge hall for transportation. Arrests Made In Easton Robbery Case
A Wadsworth man Leo O Higgins 26 and a 15 year old Kentucky youth were arrested after a burglary at Dannemiller s Food Center in Easton. They admitted taking 362 from owner Kenneth Dannemiller at gun point. Sheriff s deputies and officers from Orrville Rittman Doylestown and the State Highway Patrol joined the pursuit. The pair were captured in a wooded area near Route 5 at the Wayne Summit County line. O Higgins is on parole for armed robbery. The youth has no prior criminal record.
