Cpl Truman Dowd arrived home for a 21 day furlough before reporting to Camp Pickett. He joined service May 28 1942 and went overseas November 1942. He was wounded in Germany March 23 1945. Raymond O Snyder promoted to first lieutenant in China with the 14th Air Force wing. Snyder, a 1941 graduate of Ritman High School, lives with his wife Dorothy in Washington DC after leaving Ohio Boxboard Company to join the army December 18 1941. He has been overseas since June 1944.
