The presentation occurred during a Thursday luncheon with the home’s residents and mothers day songs sung for patients. Mrs Theodore Bise of Creston led a prayer at the home meeting while Mrs Roy Trent conducted a devotion.

Hire Two Teachers and Resignations Voted by Board
The Board of Education plans to hire two teachers and accept one resignation at Wednesday’s session. Robert Schleneger of Louisville Ohio is recommended to teach elementary and assist junior high athletics. he graduates Goshen College in June. Robert Kauffman of Shreve will receive a contract. he graduates Ashland College in June with a certificate to teach speech and social studies.

Honor JA Members At Banquet Thursday
Seventh annual Future Unlimited Banquet hosted by Junior Achievement at the American Legion Hall features Henry E. Heffner of Cleveland as speaker. Awards will be given to Achievers and adult advisors on Thursday May 14 at 6 30. Exhibits highlight two JA company operations and products. Guests include Junior Achievers and local business leaders. Heffner, regional JA rep, directs offices in Ohio Michigan West Virginia Kentucky Western Pennsylvania and Ontario Canada. He has previously led JA programs in Minneapolis St Louis and Asheville NC and has worked in Cleveland since 1953. Heffner is a Northwestern and Loyola graduate with a career at Illinois Central Railroad United States Junior Chamber and Westinghouse Electric. He has a daughter and two sons active in Greater Cleveland Junior Achievement.

Rittman Council Advances Building Code First Reading
After two years of study the Rittman Building Code cleared first reading with adoption to follow two more readings. The code mirrors Wayne County standards with reduced fees and slight changes to requirements. County inspector will perform four inspections per site with county service pledged. Builders Exchange backs the measure while Mayor Hall questions enforcement strength.

Musicale Friday May 22 Show From School Students

Services Wednesday For Charles E Wilson 74
Funeral services for Charles E Wilson age 74 will be held Wednesday at 2 30 pm at the Evangelical United Brethren Church. Wilson died Sunday night at Wadsworth Municipal Hospital after a Friday admission. He was a prominent local figure, former Rittman councilman and president of Rittman Savings Bank, founder of Charles E Wilson Inc Real Estate and Insurance, and member of several clubs. He leaves wife May Allan Wilson, three daughters, two brothers, and eight grandchildren.

Bob Brownson athletic director at Ashland will be the main speaker at the Rittman High School Athletic Banquet on May 26.
