Dorothy DeVore of Rittman, daughter of Mr and Mrs L G DeVore of S Fourth St, placed sixth in Latin II among northeastern Ohio high school students. Tests for 22 academic subjects were announced by Frank Hurst of Kent State University. The competition involved Rittman and other schools with 199 or fewer entrants at Wooster College last Saturday.

Straub Quimby Dies in Cleveland Clinic
Straub Quimby 64, a former Rittman resident now living in Conneaut Ohio died last Sunday at Cleveland Clinic. The body was moved to pres ibert Funeral Home then to Conneaut for burial in Rittman Cemetery. Viewing was held Wednesday night and funeral set for 2 p m Thursday. He is survived by his wife Juli and a daughter Mrs. Robert Shaffer of California.

The May 2 special session approved a curfew making it illegal for anyone under 16 to be in streets or public places after 10 30 p m without an adult. A second resolution authorizes Medina Street sidewalk construction and another funds oil surfacing of select streets in Rittman.

Milton Voters Align With County in Election Figures
Milton township six precincts mirrored County voting patterns in state and county contests Tuesday. About 15 percent turnout compared with last November to back Governor Lausche for reelection and support Huffman for Senate, Herbert for governor, and Bricker for Senate. Rittman Gets 24 Temporary Veteran Dwellings
Fourteen additional temporary family dwelling units have been allocated for married veterans and their families in Rittman. The project, funded under a new federal veterans housing program, will see the government move and set up units on Village sites with the Village managing the housing as long as veterans need it.
