Rittman high led by Mable Gordon Elizabeth Shackleford and Lucile Cornet as eight spellers won ribbons at the Wayne county event Saturday. Gordon Shackleford also earned top honors with perfect spellings while Edith Secrest in Wooster earned a blue ribbon in the seventh and eighth grade group. Ethel May Kittle won a blue ribbon for perfect spelling in the fifth and sixth grade division. Four prizes were awarded in total.
