Two cases of small pox diagnosed by physicians exist in a Rittman residence. The house is quarantined and pets penned. Authorities report no school exposure or alarm, and five cases are confined to the same home with Leola Ring Ray Ault and Myrtle Ault recovering without serious illness.
Mary Elizabeth Sheets nee Mc Clellan born October 18 1864 in Sugarcreek township Wayne county Ohio died March 25 1915 in Rittman Ohio aged 50 years, wife of V G Sheets and mother of Cecal Earl Lomn Cloyd and Nelson Day. Survived by husband, three sons, sister and friends who remember her as a consecrated Christian woman and good neighbor.

Wayne County commissioners announced five approved saloon applicants on Thursday. Rittman’s Mitterbaugh, Hull, and Gates. Doylestown’s John Wein. and Dalton’s Jacob Donald were named. Licenses will be issued locally this week after state approval.

Thos. R. Woulfe leaves C. S. W. & C. Ry Co on April 1 to launch Roe Woulfe Company with Frank B. Roe. They will operate as electrical and mechanical engineers from Engineers' Building, Cleveland. Woulfe brings long experience, including Notre Dame, Kehoe Power, and Ft Wayne traction work. Demnahne will run the local plant. Woulfe praises local support and outlines franchise and street lighting credentials. Grand and petit juries for the next term of court have been drawn. sheriffs to notify jurors in coming week.
A Monday vote of 164 to 53 kept Sugarcreek township in the dry column while Dalton followed with a 106 to 60 decision on Tuesday. The combined results show a 111 vote edge for Sugarcreek and a 46 margin for Dalton.
