Rittman, Doylestown, Marshallville and Creston churches outline Easter weekend programs. Rev. Willis Stitt speaks at Sunrise in Rittman. Good Friday events in Doylestown include a film at Methodist Church. Creston hosts a union sunrise service at 6 30 with Ralph Young as speaker.
Rev. J. W. Plummer will present Suffering and Glory at 10 30 a m at Ev United Brethren Church. Reception of members to follow.
Dr D T R McLean of the Ritt man Ministerial Assn says Lewis E Brown, governor of the Rittman Loyal Order of Moose, reports 15 cars will be available to transport any resident to a church of their choice for Easter sunrise and morning services. Call 136W or 479X. call Saturday for sunrise service.
Three year old David Eugene Rock son of Mr and Mrs Galen Rock died Thursday at Barberton Citizens Hospital. Survived by parents a brother James a sister Karen and grandparents Ralph Rock of Rittman and Frank Platt of Wadsworth. Services set for Saturday 9 a.m. at St Ann's Church with Father Farrell officiating. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery Wadsworth. Friends may call at Frederick Funeral Home Friday eve.
Judy Pittman. 11, of Rittman repeats as first prize winner receiving a leather bound zipper notebook. Nine year old Lloyd Bertschy of Seville takes second prize a deluxe pencil box. Three tied for third prize Lynda Trogdon Rollin Jones Anne Maine each win a $1 gift certificate.
Good Friday services from 1:30 to 3 p.m. will be at Wesleyan Methodist Church under the Rittman Ministerial Association. Theme is The Three Rs of the Cross with three ministers leading Revelation of God Redemption of God at the Cross and Conciliation at the Cross. Local merchants will close business to allow attendance.
