Death of John McConnell Pioneer Rittman native dies in Akron
John Clifford McConnell born September 14 1862 near Rittman died March 18 1920 in Akron after pneumonia and appendicitis at age 57. He served 40 years with the railroad in Silver Creek Burbank Sterling and Akron and was active in Milton Presbytenan and U B churches and Royal Arcanum. He leaves wife Hyatt a son Robert and daughters Ruth and Hallice, sister Mrs Chas Dieter, brother Lieut A A McConnell and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Milton Presbyterian church with burial at Knapp's cemetery in Sterling.
