Obituary of James Louis Turneroa
James Louis Turneroa aged 74 years and 25 days died after a March 17 stroke. Born in Coshocton to Israel Turner and Lydia Miser, he married Laura Holderbaum in 1880 and had seven daughters and two sons. He farmed in Coshocton Tuscarawas and Wayne counties, moved to Rittman in 1908, worked for Ohio Salt Co and Ohio Boxboard Co until 1931, then retired. Survived by children Charles, Frank, Lester, and six daughters, plus 22 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, with siblings Charles Turner Mrs Jay Chubb and Mrs G F McCammant. He died at his son’s home in Sterling after residence with his daughter Mrs RH Blough of Rittman.

Busy Bible Class Holds Monthly Meeting

Mrs. Sarah Ellen Smith 73 died at her Leavittsburg home Saturday after a short pneumonia illness. Born March 5 1859 in Sterling Ohio, she was daughter of Albert J and Sarah Hollowell Lance. She lived in Warren 36 years, moved to Leavittsburg six months ago, and belonged to Women of the Moose and Heart Legion. Survived by daughters Maude James Ruth Strock and Pearl Herlinger, all of Warren and Leavittsburg, sons Harry and Claude Smith of Warren, 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Several relatives live in Rittman and Sterling.
