Smithville Promoters Sell Day Trip to Cleveland Flower Show

Jacob Lendy Dies at 81 in Rittman Home
Jacob Lendy, aged 81, died of cancer at his Fourth Street home Saturday after 36 years of marriage in Rittman. Funeral was Tuesday with Rev. ECBL Hendrickson and Rev. J. McGee presiding. Entombment followed at Knupp's Cemetery by A. L. Ebert. Three children reside in Rittman: Minnie, Emma Keary, and Henry.

Obituary for Jacob Lendy of Rittman born in Switzerland
Jacob Lendy, son of John and Ar aula Lendy, born September 26, 1861 in Tamana Switzerland, died March 12 at his home in Rittman aged 80 years five months and 17 days. He married Anna Samenish March 1 1875 and they had three children Henry Minnie and Mrs Emma Keary, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. One brother George and one sister Mrs Ursula Habis of California survive with his wife predeceased five years ago. Mr Lendy moved to Rittman 36 years ago. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 o'clock at the home with Rev McGee and Rev Hendrickson in charge. Burial was in the Rittman cemetery.
