Local Hospital Association officers said they will complete the final payment of Rit- Maans Queltu to trustees after April first. The move follows Wadsworth’s receipt of the Naspatat deed from The Ohio Match Company, with city officials told to prepare the hospital for use and deeds.
The WCTU met at Mrs Esra Harpster's on Tuesday afternoon with Mrs Ballet of Weet Sal em Presa presiding. A detailed report on the mid year convention held March 1 was given by Mrs Valiet. While in town she visited Aaron Wolfe and Wta Barbage homes and Mrs Sealth, the County Vice, was reported improving after illness. The next gathering will occur at Mrs Saran Wolfe's home.
Community leaders in Rittman rally to back a Republican Club banquet benefiting the Wadsworth Municipal Hospital. Citizens pledge four instalments to cover remaining notes, with final payment due April 1, to ensure ongoing nonsectarian hospital care.
The Wadsworth Banner-Press notes the death of Mrs Harter at 73 after a fall five weeks earlier. Her daughter Nellie Harter, a longtime helper to Mr Hostetler in recording local deaths, mourns a mother described as wonderful. Mrs Harter was aunt to Mrs F A Smith of the area, who is deeply shocked by the loss.
The burial and service for Mrs Famin Fisher drew a large crowd in Rittman. The Rev. Charles Freidman led the ceremony with assistance from Reverends L. B. Dear H A Shafer and Robert J. Platter, all praising her philanthropic spirit and sterling character.

A section of the east wall at the Ohio Salt Co plant gave way last Friday morning causing part of the factory to close while debris was cleared. Coal stored against the wall likely caused the failure. The wall, part of an early building built 23 years ago with sand and lime bricks, was repaired after the incident. No one hurt and operations resumed. The Bair family obituary notes Tolin Bair died in Girard after pneumonia. He was survived by his mother, sister, wife, daughter, and several relatives. funeral held in Girard.

Mr and Mrs Wm Hershey and family returned to Rittman after four months in the south. They report winter still lingering, enjoyed the trip, but a child contracted scarlet fever and the Westcheffer home is quarantined with Ruth and Ella ill.
The Wadeworth Press notes the death of 15 year old Jeanor Hostatler daughter of Mr and Mrs Walter Hostatler after eight weeks of illness. The editor shares personal sorrow over the loss and extends sympathy to the family. Also reports Mad Lance of Ritman recovering after a fall at his yard near the rail line that left him unconscious. he will be home for several days.
The regular annual High School debate will be held Friday evening March 31 in the Hos Mattorium. Rittman Creston and Doylstown form a triangle with Doylastown opposing Rittman. The topic asks if the closed shop benefits American workers and industry. A declamatory contest between the same schools follows the debate.
In a springtime rush of auto fever, William Burbage buys a Studebaker Light Six after a test ride by Eugene Branigan in a new touring car. Branigan demonstrates the car’s qualities, convincing Burbage to cash in for the purchase as warm days return.
Elva Derthick writes an In Memoriam for her husband John W Derthick who died two years ago on March 24 1929. She recalls grief and loss and notes his passing as a step to greater heights with quiet faith.
Halliwell and Stein and Sherrick and Hummel announce cuts offering haircuts for 40 cents and shaves for 20 cents. The reduction lets Rittman men get trimmed cheaper than anytime since the war, with crowds expected in the first week.
