Willard Hauenstein, principal of Rittman High school, was elected president of the Central Buckeye league at Wooster. John Long of Youdonville was chosen secretary treasurer to succeed Laverne Wietcher of Orrville. The 1940-41 basketball schedule was adopted and a rotating schedule plan begun to avoid fixed opening games each season.

Ebert Store to Undergo Extensive Remodeling
Remodeling work began last week on the A. L. Ebert store at 8S Main Street. The second floor will become a 61 by 22 foot casket display room with oak paneling and new lighting. The first floor will be redone into a large electrical store housing a 100 by 22 foot room and a new line of small electrical appliances. Completion is expected in three to four weeks.

Cars Collide Tuesday Night on Ohio Avenue
John Lemmon of Wadaworth and Kenneth Borrer son of Homer Forrer Rittinin were involved in a minor auto accident on Tuesday at 10 30 p m on Ohio Avenue near Senecast when Forrer's car collided with Lemmon's after Lemmon turned without signaling. Marshal Charles Heffelman investigated the incident.

Freak Lamb Born at Wilson Steele Farm Near Sterling
A rare lamb with two bodies eight legs and two tails was born at the Wilson Steele farm west of Sterling. The creature died shortly after birth. J H Fisher of Rittman took the animal to an Akron dentist for mounting. University professors deemed the birth highly unusual.

Scraba Garage Fire Strikes Medina Town
Firefighters from Rittman were awakened at 3:45 AM to battle a blaze at the Mike Scraba garage in Medina town. Seventeen men responded as the alarm echoed through the area.
