Kenmore Wins Bid for Hoop Victory in Rivalry
Kenmore high school hosted RHOS in a pair of games at the hych duels gym. The girls opened with a 19 to 3 win for Kenmore while the boys were held to 33 points as RHOS defeated them 26 to 33. Sheets scored 18 points on six baskets, Meeher added 10, and others battled hard amid tough conditions. Next game set for Friday March 21 at Lodi.

Charles Edward Bruny was born March 31 1587 in Lee Township Monroe County Ohio. He served with his parents until age 22 then worked in Kittman Ohio. He entered Camp Sheeman September 21 1917 and Camp Meritt New Jersey March 1918 then crossed to France around April 1 1918. He served at the front from December 2 1918 until his death October 10 1918 at age 31 years 6 months 10 days leaving a large family.

Luman W. Haskins born Chicago Junction Ohio March 18 1895 was killed in action in France September 29 1918 at age 23 years 5 months 11 days. He enlisted December 4 1914 in the Ohio National Guard at Wadsworth and served in Younstown riot and during the Mexican border conflict before transferring to national service and going to France where he died heroically. He is survived by his father mother two brothers and many friends.

Obituary of Viola Brubaker Betts and family notes
Viola Brubaker Betts born February 23 1880 died March 12 1919 at Akron hospital after a weeklong illness. She was a Presbyterian member for about three years. Survived by husband Frank Brubaker and five children four boys and a girl. Her first marriage was to William Hilton and they had a daughter married to Harry Holderbaum living in Michigan. Burial at Knapp cemetery. Funeral conducted by Rev DD P Lermontt.

Boys Break Into School House Again at Main St Facility
Two foreign youths, Dyson Esakob and Rody Mach, were arrested after a second break in at the Main St school house on March 8. They confessed to aiding the Beichler brothers in the March 1 theft of 525 Red Cross funds and to minor damage this Saturday. The Beichler boys were placed on suspended sentences and sent to Lancaster school for boys, with juvenile court hearings in Wooster slated this week.

Dennis House Fire on Main Street Extinguished Quickly
The home of Chas. Dennis on Main Street near the Realty Block caught fire Friday morning around eight. The blaze started in the shingle roof near a chimney burning out, but was found early and put out with two buckets of water. Damage was slight and the alarm prompted a fast response.
