Mrs. Ralph Overholt announced at least 11 families will attend the free public TB examinations next Tuesday March 15 at City Hall from 9 to 11 am and 1 to 5 pm. The chest X ray results will be mailed in sealed envelopes by the Wayne County Tuberculosis and Health Association.

Three boys were arrested and charged after thefts from multiple sites last Friday and Tuesday. Two Moores Bound Over For Grand Jury
Two men, Eugene Blain Moore 21 and Robert Moore 26, were bound over to the grand jury on a charge of assault with intent to rob a Rittman man. Unable to post bond, they remain in the county jail awaiting trial. Arrested by Marshal Charles Heffelman and Deputy Merle Heffelman, they are from Sterling Route 1. The incident occurred near Luke Dawson’s Salt Street home in Rittman, leaving Dawson with facial injuries.

Rittman Indians Triumph in Class B District Opener
Rittman High School beat Amherst 48-38 to start the Class B district tournament at Kent. The Indians trailed 12-10 after one quarter, tied 23-23 at halftime, then pulled ahead 34-25 in the third before finishing strong. The victory advances them to face Wayneburg Saturday at 7 p.m.
