City aims crackdown on unpaid water bills
Ci Manager Charles Mann announced a five day pay up plan after reporting $10,000 in unpaid water bills at last week’s council meeting. Delinquent property owners will receive shut-off notices with a $5 restoration fee plus a 10 percent penalty. The council authorized charging property owners if renters fail to pay, shifting collection responsibility to owners to improve city finances and budgeting.
