Milward E Lance obituary recalls lifelong Seville resident

Milward E Lance, born April 5 1884 in Milton township Wayne County, died February 25 1918 after a long neighborhood life. He married Emma Glessner May 28 1887. they had three children, Mrs Q H Chambers of Seville, Roy C Laner of Youngstown, and a infant son. Survived by wife, three grandchildren, one brother, five sisters, and many friends. Funeral February 27 from the home led by Rev F L Knapp of Seville with music by Mrs M V Bates. burial Mount Hill Cemetery Seville.

Harry Christian and John Mahones fled through Ruptima in a stolen car and crashed near town while being pursued. One boy, Charles Fields, was arrested in Barberton. two others escaped after injuring an officer at Richerton. The car was recovered in Cleveland and returned to the owner. The youths’ father retrieved one boy. the other two remained at large as of Wednesday.
