The Rittman High School bands directed by Fred Ebbs performed a polished program Tuesday night in the high school auditorium. Cadet and Concert bands showcased selections including Abide With Me, Long Long Ago, The Bells of St Marys, and Let Me Call You Sweetheart, with notable solos by Sam Swope and bass solo by Aurand.

Walter Depry Dies At 61 Past Master of Masons
Funeral services for Walter Baughman Depry 61 were held Tuesday night at 7:30 in the A L Ebert Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ke Hendrickson officiating. Burial followed at Oceola Grove, Iowa. Depry had worked 18 years for Ohio Boxboard Co and was a former Worshipful Master of the C W Ellenwood Masonic Lodge and a Knight Templar. Survived by wife Rose and two sisters Mrs John Vial and Mrs LN Raudebush of Rittman.

Public Sale Draws Large Crowd At Bachman Farm
The Bachman farm sale in Sterling last Thursday drew a record crowd with cars lining routes from the railroad through Amwell and nearby fields used as parking. All items sold including household goods farm equipment horses and cattle. Horses sold at medium price. top cattle brought 1133.00 and average cattle price 87.
