Last Thursday and Friday Rittman households faced zero gas pressure as a valve on the Rittman line may have been closed. Local men traced the issue to a partially shut valve near Sterling, reopened it, and restored gas to most homes by Friday afternoon. The incident sparked questions about motive, protection, and possible rate-raising links, with officials offering limited comment.

Woman sues railroad for 25000 in husband’s death

Mrs Catherine Allashouse sues the Cleveland Southwestern and Columbus Railway for 25000 damages claiming negligence caused her husband’s death when a high tension wire contacted an iron pump he assisted at a well near No 5 School House Wayne township between Madisonburg and Mechanicsburg. Automobile Ditching Incident Near Rittman Reported

Two men from Barberton and Hinon on their way to a Rittman factory were in an automobile accident last Friday morning. They phoned the factory to say their vehicle had ditched and that they could not reach Rittman. Neither man mentioned injuries or the exact location of the crash.

Value of Ten Cows in W and L Train Collision

Robert V Steele of Creston sues W and L E for 2300 dollars, alleging negligence at the Burbank crossing on September 20 1920. Cows strayed onto tracks and eight were killed with two later killed as injuries were deemed sever. Jury viewed the Steele farm scene.

Woman Tries Suicide at Wooster by Aqua Ammonia

Miss Vivonk Glascow aged 45 attempted to take her life by drinking aqua ammonia in Wooster on Saturday. She was hospitalized in a very serious condition with little hope of recovery. Judge R L Adair her guardian planned to petition Probate Court this week to declare her insane and commit her to an asylum.

A large contingent of basketball players from Rittman schools will go to Ashland Friday to take part in a banksball tournament. Several teams from Ashland Wayne and Medina counties will enter the contest to determine the championship.

Two Marriages Solemnized at Wooster

Rasley Divorce Granted in Wooster Court

Clarence A Rasley former water works superintendent was granted a divorce from Anna C Rasley in common pleas court at Wooster. The wife contested and lost donor rights. Rasley lives in Reading Pennsylvania and the couple have been separated about ten years. They share two children a 12 year old daughter living with Mrs Rasley and a 14 year old son living with Rasley’s mother in Baston Pennsylvania.
