25th Anniversary of Mr and Mrs Dean Rowe
Mr and Mrs Dean Rowe of 520 Trease Road Wadsworth celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at a family dinner at the Seville Inn on Sunday June 25. They were married June 21 1947 in Ashland Kentucky by Rev Whit. They have two daughters Deanna Gasser and Debbie Heaberlin and two grandchildren Richard Gasser and Suzanne Heaberlin. Mr Rowe is employed at General Motors in Cleveland.

Rittman council advances toward town by third reading
Council moved toward town incorporation with the third reading of the ordinance. It directed the solicitor to draft a emergency suspension ordinance to buy an Akron Air Compressor for 139000 plus 439 in attachments, the closest prior bid being 2400 for a unit. Sidewalk spending authorized a 6095.48 assessment to parties from last year’s program. Discussions covered street parking and 35 mph limits near the park with a proposal to post slow children signs and seek 25 mph with health department approval. A letter from Freed Ford Sales raised concerns about children playing near the rear parking area, near a proposed tot lot. Annexation talks prompted a study of options with township residents.
