Brothers Die in Train Car Collision at Sterling Crossing
Joseph and Charles Kobel, 2 brothers from Salt Street, were killed when their auto was struck by an eastbound B and O train at the old Valley House crossing in Sterling. The wreck derailed three cars and tore up track while a crane freed the bodies about four hours later. The brothers, ages around 20 and 22, were identified by A L Ebert and mourned by Rittman and Orrville associates. Funeral services were held at the U B church in Seville.

Petit Reunion Holds 27th Family Gathering at Becker Home
The 27th Petit family reunion gathered at Charles Becker’s home with about 200 attendees and 174 for dinner. After a varied program of music, readings, and races, officers were elected: A. E. Goffinet president, Frank Yarman vice president, Mrs. A. E. Goffinet secretary, Belle McConnell assistant secretary, Chas. Becker treasurer. The next reunion is planned for Creston Ohio in June 1920.

A baby boy was born Tuesday noon at the home of Mrs Callie Hickin on State Street. The child was in precarious condition shortly after birth but both mother and baby are now reported doing well.

Early Sunday morning burglars hit N W Tower Son general store R K Gambles Seeley Coddings gravenes and E Fatwards shoe store in Lodi stealing a small haul. Officers pursuing three suspects from Orrville were fired upon wounding Constable Knapp who was in serious condition. The trio J Molderman Clyde Lawrence Claude Merritt were captured near Spencer and jailed in Medina. they appeared to be about 18.

Dana School of Music pupils give pleasing concert
A concert by Dana School of Music pupils at the Warren Presbyterian church drew praise from music lovers. Miss Margaret Woods the contralto received much applause while Mr Tracey Shook accompanied and introduced the players. Miss Leoni Sterle also performed. The church was well filled and the audience enjoyed the evening.

During Boy Scout Week the canvass for associate members of the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America secured 30 members though the community quota was under 20. All fees go to the New York office for extension work nationwide, reflecting strong interest in American boyhood and the Scout Movement. Three Die In Loudonville Auto Crash At Crossing
Three men were killed Saturday night in Loudonville when their car struck a moving engine at the Spring Street crossing. Harley Stake of Jelloway Walter Brubaker of Loudonville and Ray Jordan of Loudonville were returning from Wooster. all three died instantly.

Steiner Family Reunion At Milton Township
Peter J. Steiner family members gathered for the annual reunion at Ray P. Steiner home in Milton township with fifty five attendees. They enjoyed a picnic dinner and afternoon games including baseball croquet and horseshop pitching. The event took place on J. W. Steiner's home farm who is deputy probate judge of Wooster and attended with his family.

Correction on Boy Scout Fundraising for Park Cleanup
A Cornell meeting statement reported by the Press claiming the Boy Scouts had $125 for summer park cleanup and another $125 in fall is denied by Scoutmaster D P Herriott. He says the group has collected far less than $40 to date, with some payments in full.
