Raise Given To Morton Employees in 7 Cent Wage Increase
Hourly-rated workers at Morton Salt Company’s Rittman plant accepted a 7 cent per hour across the board raise after a union meeting on June 16. Local Youth Hurt In Accident That Claims One Life
A two-vehicle crash on US 30 two miles east of Wooster killed 17 year old Kenneth Kaufman of Wadsworth and injured 18 year old Ronnie Emch of Rittman. Emch remained in fair condition with a broken leg while Carson Lightfoot was treated and released. The car driver Gary Buverard and tractor trailer driver Alfred Grossman faced traffic violations.
