Education Board Hires Three Teachers Monday
The board of education in a special meeting Monday night decided on a policy to hire three new teachers for four year terms to meet state requirements in effect in 1942. Miss Glora Waltz and Miss Alta Collier fill fourth grade vacancies, with Miss Waltz a Akron university graduate and Miss Collier previously serving in the district. Miss Dorothy E. Brobst of Columbus was chosen for kindergarten, a Taylor university graduate, while Miss Bell becomes librarian at Yattman Library. The July meeting of the club moves to Monday July 11 due to the Fourth of July observance.

Funeral Services Held For Creston Woman
Funeral services for Miss Leila Hall were conducted at Murray Funeral Home Creston Saturday at 2 p m with Reverend Charles McBride officiating. A Creston native she died Wednesday at her nephew A C Bachtell Brady Lake. She was 67 and survived by sister Mrs Tom Bachtell Akron and brothers John Hall Los Angeles and Daniel Hall Creston.
