Rittman Seeks Wayne County League Membership
Rittman school administrators moved to join the Wayne County League this week. The Athletic Council approved the motion, the Board of Education sanctioned it, and Superintendent W H Hauenstein will request admittance from the league’s Executive Board. If accepted, Rittman would join an eight team basketball and baseball league with Smithville Norwayne Dalton Dalton Northwestern Waynedale and Shreve. Northwestern would skip football.

The Rittman Board of Education hired three new teachers at West Hill and added two pending positions. Mrs. Fred Flohia will teach third grade at 5500 dollars, replacing a resignation. Miss Barbara Staley will teach girls physical education. Fred Kloba becomes industrial arts teacher at 6100 dollars, replacing a retiree. Some openings remain in high school for art and commercial studies.

Three Arts Club Dinner Meeting Plans and Tour

College of Wooster Receives 100000 Gift for Library Endowment
The College of Wooster said it received a $100,000 gift from the Irene Heinz Given and John La Porte Given Foundation Inc New York to establish the Given Foundation Endowment for the college library. Income will be used to buy books and periodicals designated as from the Given Foundation Endowment, announced by Miss Maudie Linn Nesbitt at the Friends of Library annual meeting.
