The Senior Music Club met at Dallas Fawcett's home with ten members. Patty Perry won first prize with 100.51 points. Sandy Perry and Barbara Stillwagner tied for second with 100.28. A Patty and Sandy Perry duet entertained two guests, Mrs Hamilton and Floyd Fawcett. Memorials note anniversaries and graduations follow with multiple local names and dates.
A Wayne county judge denied an injunction to block Rittman annexation of 2400 acres north of the city. The suit by Joseph McElwee and Lillian Gish argued a claimed freeholder owner lacked record title at filing. The court debated who qualifies as a resident freeholder under Ohio Revised Code 709.02 in this annexation dispute.

The First Church of Christ announces God Lives Today as the theme for a week long vacation Bible school from June 13 to 17 with daily activities from 9 a.m. to 1 30 p.m. Nursery age students attend until 11 30. Closing program for summer Bible studies will be held Sunday June 12 at 7 p.m. Mrs Harold Hoover and Mrs Robert Wise lead classes with several aides and a nursery staff. Also noted are hospital recoveries and travels of local residents including Mrs Paul Mills Mrs Jean Gerber and Mr Ben Kay with visits to Europe and tulip time in Amsterdam.
The city sets weekly practice limits of two to three hours per team and bars profanity from boys managers and spectators. Managers may not mistreat players. No spectators on the field. Participants must sign at city offices by Saturday noon after the season starts. The city will provide treatment for participating boys at season end.

The court rules Samuel Hatten not a qualified signer under Revised Code 709.02 since he lacked title of record at county records. Residence for annexation is limited to those dwelling within the described territory and cannot be extended to land outside the petitioned area.
