John Heiks, a ten year Smithville teacher, joins H C Auble in Orrville to run a furniture and undertaking business. I. Heiks, a local florist, is his uncle. A girl was born May 25 at Wadsworth Hospital to Mr and Mrs I L Haney. Mrs Haney returned home Wednesday evening. May 29 brought a boy to Mr and Mrs Joe Dingey. May 30 saw a boy born to Mr and Mrs Roy Mathews of Storing. June 4 marked the birth of a boy to Mr and Mrs Ed Grossenbacher.

Smithville High Student Dies On Way To Hospital

Smithville High School student Ellis Krabill aged 15 died Sunday at 1 PM while en route to a hospital for surgery on an obstruction of the bowels. He was the son of Mr and Mrs Ray Krabill who live north of Smithville. Funeral services were held from Oak Grove cemetery Tuesday afternoon.

Amstutz Reunion Held Saturday in Central Park

The Amstutz reunion gathered Saturday afternoon in Rittman Park with a good attendance. Tables were filled with plentiful food and ample justice was done to the eats.

Class Social At Church By S. S. Group

The S. S. class of Mrs. W A Garver held a social in the basement of the church Monday evening. A program of planalog duets and entertainment followed, with lunch served by the committee. Mrs Meredith had charge of arrangements. Miss Margaret Dill of Dayton Ohio was hired to teach in Rittman schools next year.
