At a Memorial Service in Ritman Cemetery Rev Eugene Buxton urged Americans to renew the purposes and truths behind veterans sacrifices. He listed six virtues for citizens in a democracy: accept responsibility self discipline scrupulous honesty respect for others self reliant industriousness and devotion to service over self interest. Troje Named Assistant Foreman in Gluing Dept

Raymond Bell rites held at First Church of Christ
Funeral services for Raymond W. Bell were conducted Tuesday from the First Church of Christ in Ritman. Bell, a World War II veteran, died after a six month illness at Akron City Hospital. He was born in Montpelier Kentucky and lived in Ritman with his parents. He owned a food and meat market after service. He was a member of Howard A. Bair American Legion Post and Oose Lodge. He is survived by his mother Lilie Bell, a sister Mollie Holcomb, a brother Russell, and four nieces and nephews. Burial followed at Nobel Ave Cemetery with the First Church of Christ Akron in charge of rites.
