Seventy Rittman Graduates Set For Thursday Exercises
Seventy Rittman High School seniors will receive diplomas at Thursday commencement at the school. Rev Philip L Gould and Robert E McComas will deliver talks and present diplomas. Father of Local Man Succumbs
Louis L. Shiffer, 72, father of Berdean Shiffer of Rittman, died Friday at his Bucyrus home. A machinist, he lived in Rittman before moving to Bucyrus five years ago. Born March 1, 1892 in Bucyrus, he is survived by his wife Genava, another son Robert of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and three grandchildren. Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Services were Monday with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.

Round-Up Time For All Scouts Is This Weekend
Hill side Park Clinton hosts a three day Scout roundup for 250 Girl Scouts and Brownies from Rittman. Two Senior Scout troops lead a camp skills program with hayride swimming and Sunday church. Activities include flag raising, meals, visits, a swap, campfire and chicken dinner. Leaders include Mrs. Ritchie Taylor Brenneman Rosenberg.

Two-Year-Old Struck By Truck On South Main Street

Wayne County Bookmobile will make its first summer trip to the Sterling and Norwayne High area on Thursday June 4. The traveling library will be in Sterling from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Earlier in the day it stops at Burbank from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Librarian Katherine Schantz said.
