Mr and Mrs Edgar Wilson of Rittman receive word that their son S N Homer Wilson aboard the USS Bennington is unhurt following a deadly blast and fire off the New England coast. Four-Church-School Begins Vacation Bible School
Fifteen volunteers will teach at the community Vacation Bible School starting Monday June 7 at 9 a.m. at the North Street school. Hold Rites For Mrs. Cunningham
Funeral services were held for Mrs Margaret Cunningham 86 at Gillman’s Funeral Home and United Presbyterian Church New Concord with Rev Dwight B Davidson and Rev Henry S Evans officiating. She died Friday after a long illness at her daughter’s home in Harrison county and had lived in New Concord for 40 years. Survivors include daughters Mrs Benek a son Paul M Cunningham of Delaware four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Interment followed in New Concord.
