Divorces Rise in Wayne County Courts as Year Opens
At the start of the fiscal year ending June 1924 Wayne County courts saw 120 divorce cases, with 40 filed by wives against husbands and 4 fathers awarded custody in 25 of 102 cases. Former Well Known Citizen Isaac Smith Passes Away
Isaac Smith a longtime Rittman resident and former Jackson area shoemaker died Saturday after two months of stomach illness. He moved from Dalton to a Jackson farm and was a foster father to Roy Smith. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 oclock at the Jackson Presbyterian Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Rifle accident injures River boy near Burger home

At Chippewa Lake Park a police search found a cache of liquor in the bushes near the Glen area. Officer Jones arrested two young men with others possibly at large. One man, Wa.
