Seville City Mourns Longtime Mayor Guy Zigler
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Baptist church for Seville mayor Guy Zigler who died Thursday night from a heart attack. Ray Kern officiated and burial followed in Mound Hill Cemetery. Zigler, born February 20 1888, lived in Seville his entire life and held multiple mayoral terms starting in 1920, 1928, and 1937, plus council service. Survivors include wife Myrtle and a twin brother in Wadsworth. He was a Knights of Pythias member and Don A. Kindig will act as mayor until elections later this year. Pallbearers included Clifford Zigler Glenn Zigler Russell Zigler William Means Ralph Hoff and Howard Hoff.
