Funeral Rites Held for C. E. Ashbrook in Ashley Ohio
Funeral services for Charles E. Ashbrook age 53 were conducted Wednesday at his home in Ashley Ohio. He died after being struck by a truck while walking home from Delaware following a Columbus trip. Ashbrook, a former Cleveland Press cartoonist and organizer of the Ohio State Junior Fair, had just learned he would begin work as an editorial illustrator for the Dayton Journal on August 1. He is survived by his wife a granddaughter an aged mother one sister and two brothers.

Barberton residents JC Landis and son Owen attended the funeral of William Mitchell held Wednesday afternoon in Barberton. Mitchell died suddenly while visiting near Kew Castle Pennsylvania. He leaves one daughter. Burial took place in the new cemetery north of Barberton. Mitchell had suffered illness about 20 months.
