Bloodmobile to Visit Rittman for Community Blood Drive
The Red Cross Bloodmobile will visit Rittman on Thursday August 2 from noon to 6 pm at the American Legion Hall. The drive serves Creston Doylestown Marshallville Sterling and Rittman with a critical need for donors due to a 50 percent depletion of area reserves. Three local open heart surgeries occurred in the past month. Donations are not eligible for current patients. Dr Cahit Chorba and Dr Roland Burell will oversee care with chief nurses Lois Beres Carol Widmer Ginger Stucky and helpers. Transportation and unloading arranged by city workers and Boy Scout Troop 405.

Beginning July 25 the Rittman Recreation Department will offer free tennis lessons for women. Ward Hofstetter, a qualified instructor from Orrville, will teach from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the tennis courts. no charge for the first four lessons.
