Burglary Hits Mogler Electric List of Stolen Goods

Thieves smashed a front door at Mogler Electric Service 261 South Main early Monday and took about 10 portable TV sets and four to five radios. Police say burglars used a similar method in the area and the owner reports no insurance coverage. total loss not yet estimated.

Rittman Board Names New Assistant Instrumental Music Instructor

The Rittman Board of Education hires Robert Everhart of Malvern as assistant instrumental and vocal music instructor. He has two years teaching in New Bremen and Loudonville, began this week, and will work with more than 1200 students in band and chorus. Dennis Antram leads instrumental music. Mrs. Carolyn Warren is vocal director.

The WCJVS board announced recruitment for the new Wayne County Joint Vocational School to open in fall 1969. Juniors only in year one, with a second group added the next year, enrolling roughly 30 Rittman students initially and doubling in year two. Edward Lee Luster 36, tied to a four state forgery ring, is identified by police as from Attica New York not Rittman. He was picked up in Batavia and recently cashed a payroll check in Rittman. Luster on probation from Wayne County for a concealed weapons conviction and is a parole violator from Attica.

Hearing on New Route 57 in Wayne County Scheduled

Ohio Department of Highways will hold a public hearing on July 23 at 10 30 am in Rittman High School to discuss establishing limited access for a section of Ohio 57 in Wayne County. The segment runs from the intersection with Ohio 5 to south of relocated Ohio 5 near the Big Chippewa River and Township Road 126, including interchange areas under the department’s policy.
