Elmer Kurtz died at his Rittman home on the morning of July 5 after a lengthy illness from tuberculosis. His death followed soon after the passing of his wife who died June 29 from heart disease. He had been seriously ill for weeks. funeral services were held at the UB church last Thursday conducted by Rev. Dekoe. The remains were buried at Hampyees cemetery.
Davel Pliner son of Adam and Rheareth Wurtz was born in Smnth ville Wayne county Ohio Feb 20 187 and died at Rittman Ohio July 5 1820 aged 40 years 4 months and Wadias Heo. He married Belle Edwards of Wooster and they had five sons and eight daughters. He professed conversion early joining the United Brethren church and remained a devoted member at death. He was a loving husband father neighbor and Christian respected by his community.
