Brother of Local Man Is Buried
Services were held Tuesday for Bernard L. Fretwell 73 of Ogee Town brother of J C Fretwell Rittman and a 25 year area resident. He died Saturday at Barberton Citizens Hospital after a two year illness. Born in Ronterville West Virginia he lived in Kentmore before moving to Doyles town. Active in the Methodist Church he was in Chippewa Grange and received a 15 year Scott work pin. Surviving are his wife Georgia two sons Frederick of Doylestown and William of Detroit Michigan two daughters Mrs Gladys Wagner Akron and Mrs Margaret Trail Worthington 13 grandchildren two sisters Mrs C H Bell Huttonsville West Virginia and Mrs Blane Polaig Ridgley West Virginia and three brothers Oda Upland California Guy Leipsic and Clare Rittman.

Officials in Washington announce advertising for construction bids on a new Rittman post office to be built on the Diversion Hall site. Demolition of Diversion Hall will be included. The project specifications are by the United States Post Office Department. Volunteer Fire Department responded to 62 North State Street Saturday evening to extinguish a smoldering attic fire in the Orrville Slone home.
Two Hurt In Rittman Area Police Report Bloody 9: 94 Crash
A Friday afternoon crash on Bloody 94 left Alice Craddock 30 in critical condition and Thomas Calabria 18 satisfactory after a head on collision five miles north of Orrville. A separate one car wreck on Ohio 3 near Wooster sent William Norris 18 of Rittman to Wooster Hospital with minor injuries.

Robert Mills 48 long time resident of Rittman and former Jamie Mills Bakery co owner died Friday after a brief illness in a Baton Rouge hospital. Services were held Sunday in Baton Rouge with survivors including his wife Lois a son Stewart three daughters Karen Nancy and Linda his mother Mrs Charles Mills of Haviland and brothers Paul Harold and Raymond. Burial followed in Baton Rouge.

Donald Gunnells 16 of 2375 South Hickin rode a motorcycle into a car at West Ohio and North Metzger. driver Mary Edna King of Virginia. Richard Mathys collided his bicycle with a parked car at 314 Ritter Drive owned by Robert Bauer. Mathys resides at 40 South Second Street.

Lily Society Show Promises Colorful Two Day Lily Event

Paving Estimates Mailed To Owners On Main Street
Residents along N Main Street East Sunset Drive and Industrial Avenue received preliminary paving estimates from the city. Donkey Baseball Set for July 23 in Rittman
Donkey baseball returns to Rittman on July 23 as two local teams showcase humorous skills under the recreation department sponsorship.
