Paul Erb, 14, son of Mr and Mrs Robert Erb of 136 North Main Street, hopes to win the Akron Derby and qualify for the All American Soap Box Derby in Akron on August 14. Free Chest X rays Offered To Public At Rittman
Free chest X rays will be available to the general public next Tuesday July 13 from 9 am to 12 noon at Rittman city hall. A mobile unit will park in front of the City Hall as in past years. Sponsored by the Wayne County TB and Health Association, examinations require no disrobing and no metal objects. A confidential written report is mailed to each examinee. The service is funded by Christmas TB seal sales.

Peter Angelo 71 Dies in Rittman Homegoing
Peter Angelo 71 died at Wadsworth hospital early Saturday. He worked as a landscape gardener for Holmes Construction Co in Wooster before retirement and moving to Rittman to live with his daughter Teresa Calabria. He had been ill three years. Surviving are two daughters Teresa Calabria and Mrs DiGiacomo of Youngstown, a son Joseph Angelo of Rittman, and nine grandchildren. Services were held Monday at St Ann's church with Rosary Sunday at Frederick funeral home. Burial was in Wooster cemetery.

Four men were arrested for intoxication by Rittman police during the past week. Thomas Osborne, 17 Grant St, facing assault charges and a planned grand jury hearing on an alleged assault with intent to kill in his apartment on June 3. Albert Ady fined $100 plus costs for driving while intoxicated. David Borders fined $20 for intoxication and disorderly conduct after a hearing by Justice Milton Hughes.
