Church of God to be Dedicated Sunday Service
Dedication of the Church of God building will be Sunday at 2 30 p m with Rev Albert Henry stating the sermon by Rev John Kane of Anderson Indiana. Rev W J Plough of Ravenna will lead the pastoral prayer and Rev Wilbur Jordan of Greentown and Rev Peter Wigeman of Akron will give musical selections. Daley Buys Diner Sees Change in Management

Mahaffey Wins TV Set at Marshallville Fourth of July Carnival

Rittman School Board Approves $139000 Budget and Fluorescent Trial

Power interruptions planned for ten days between Rittman and Creston
H C Longworth of the Ohio Public Service Company announced two minute power interruptions each day at about 4 30 p m for ten working days starting next Tuesday. Vets Urged to File Before Bonus Deadline
Ohio veterans and next of kin are warned they have less than a year to file for the World War II Compensation Fund. With 730,000 already paid, June 30, 1950 is the deadline. About 80 claims daily are being processed plus some 30,000 irregulars and 1,100 next of kin claims awaiting checks.

First Wheat Reaped Near Burt Liebert’s Farm
First wheat of the season from Burt Lieberth Route 548 was announced by Hershey and Rohrer. The sample tested 11.42 dryness and averaged 59 pounds per bushel with a quality rating good and yield about 45 bushels per acre. Burt expects his next field to run better.
