Mr and Mrs Kenneth Burschmidt of Torrence California visited the Harry Vesner home on June 25 arriving in full western attire. They brought complete outfits for Vesner boys Gert and Michael. Mrs Vesner hosted a grilled outdoor supper as neighbors hosted a barn dance at Crystal Springs to honor the couple.

Garden Party Planned by Altar Society of Sts Peter and Paul
The Altar Society will host a garden party from 2 to 4 p.m. on July 13 at Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church with lunch tickets and chances on door and table prizes. Lions Host Scout Troop 103 Dinner at Chippewa Memorial Park
The Doylestown Lions Club and Boy Scout Troop 103 met at the Scout cabin to share a picnic dinner and program. Akron District Commissioner Glen Worden and Barberton District Commissioner George Hubbel spoke as leaders. The Scouts won a post dinner softball game against the Lions. A candle light Tenderfoot Investiture followed.

Hold Ice Cream Festival at Lutheran Church Lawn
The annual ice cream festival and bazaar sponsored by the Lutheran Church will be held on the church lawn this Saturday evening July 8 from 6 to 11 p.m. In case of rain the event moves to the I.C.C.F.
