Morton Salt Grants Three Year Employee Raise
Morton Salt Company has granted a raise from 30 to 46 cents over a three-year period to its employees. Negotiations were completed at a meeting attended by 21 representatives of United Mine Workers Local Morton Salt Company International staff and industrial relations men during the past week. The contract, signed for three years, provides 10 to 19 cents rise first year 10 to 17 cents second year and a flat 10 cents in the third year. Also improves group insurance and vacation policies and shift differentials. Four-week vacations now available to 20-year employees four-week vacations previously required 25 years service. Signed July 1 1967 to June 30 1970. Beecher Noble Jr and his family were involved in a serious collision in Buckhannon West Virginia over the weekend. Mrs Noble sustained extensive facial cuts and son Stevie suffered a concussion. No further details were available at press time.

Accident on 548 injures two drivers
