The June issue recalls the 1935 sale of Press Publishing Co to Ernest Harrison and Glen Oyster. Harrison, now editor and manager, celebrates a decade in Rittman, with past items noting a 17 000 water softener, local prize winners, a mayoral candidate, and ads for Goodyear tires and Lux soap.

William Lengacher Dies at 75 in Sterling Area

William Lengacher 75 died at his home south of Sterling on Monday June 18. Funeral held at Apostolic Christian Church with Rev. Noah Hartzler officiating. Burial followed in church cemetery. relatives served as pallbearers.

Bodager Family Picnic for Boys in Service

The Bodager Family held a family picnic at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bauman on Tuesday evening June 19 with 26 present. It honored Bob Bodager who left for the service and Dale Bodager AMMF 1 c who has spent 21 months in South America.

Pvt William Harvey Admitted To Moore General Hospital

Pvt William Harvey of Rittman R D has been admitted to Moore General Hospital Swananoa North Carolina for treatment. He served in the European theater with the infantry and took part in the battle of Germany. Harvey was stationed at Camp Butner North Carolina before overseas duty and entered service in October 1941. He is the son of Mr and Mrs John E Harvey. Boy Killed by Live Wire Accident Near Town

Funeral services were held for Alfred D. Mellott 10 of two miles north of town after electrocution when a steel flag pole touched a high voltage line as he helped his uncle raise it. He died at a local physician's office. Survived by parents a brother and two sisters with burial in Acme church cemetery conducted by Rev. Carl Kessler.
