Two Akron Men Die in Coal Truck Versus Diesel Train Crash
Two men from the Akron area, Chester A. Corbin Jr. and Carl J. Robey, were killed when their coal truck was mangled by a diesel locomotive at the B&O crossing on Route 548 near Easton at 10 24 a.m. Tuesday. The crash left debris over 400 feet, and investigators from the sheriff’s office and county coroner’s office were called. The truck owned by Corbin was demolished and the bodies were moved to Wadsworth Medical.
