Akon Man Mathers 26 of 660 Harvard St Akron switchman lost both legs in a 2:30 am Erie Railroad accident east of the Morton Salt Co property in Rittman. He was taken to Akron Peoples Hospital by ambulance and received a blood transfusion.

Chamber to Consider Work Program at Rittman Board Meeting
Reorganized Rittman Chamber of Commerce Board will meet Thursday night at Rittman Savings Bank to review the program of work. They will also decide if Rittman should hold a Home Coming this summer. Police court fines and charges across several cases
Police news reports several minor offenses. A camp car worker was fined 70 dollars plus costs for assault and battery and 10 dollars for intoxication. Carl Smotherman paid 5 dollars for parking a motorcycle near a fire hydrant. Frank Shannon was fined 10 dollars for disturbing the peace by backfiring a motor vehicle. Harry Nunly and Lester Schindler faced assault and battery charges with Nunly fined 10 dollars and costs. William Mills Wright Sr. will be tried February 6 at 6 p.m. for assault and battery. Poster Contest Aims to Promote Rittman Cake Walk
