Former Rittman Resident Dies at Akron Home
Alex B Pierce, 76, a former Rittman citizen and father of C A Pierce now of Akron, died at Akron home following a stroke. He was known in Rittman and Seville where he had lived. Survived by two sons, two daughters, and Arthur. funeral arrangements were being made at the time.

Funeral Service for Mrs Ira Boyer in Shiernburg
The funeral for Mrs Ira Boyer of Shiernburg was held Saturday at 1 00 pm from the home and 2 30 pm from the UDB church with Rev W N Barton officiating. Pallbearers included MPF t WH Gish Geo Moyer C BE Beyler Wm Koble Arthur Riley and J Smith. a guard of honor of two ladies accompanied the casket into the church. The church was filled with mourners as songs such as Home of the soul Beautiful city of gold and Beyond the river were sung by Spade and Misher along with Mesdames Engatrom and Holm. Flowers were abundant and interment followed at the Wadworth cemetery. The WEBA women conducted the rites. the deceased was a longtime member.
